The death at a Mull St house early on Saturday was still being treated as unexplained, and a postmortem had been completed as inquiries continued, police said in a statement last night.
A neighbour told the Otago Daily Times there were occasional loud parties at the house.
Another Mull St resident said apart from noisy parties at weekends, the house was occupied by a ‘‘quiet and normal family’’ with four children.
