Opponents of speed humps installed in Wanaka presented a 200-signature petition to the Queenstown Lakes District Council's meeting at Lake Hawea this week.
Opponents' spokesman Chris Hadfield told the council the signatures were gathered at his cafe over about two weeks.
Opponents of four Ardmore St speed humps felt the traffic-calming structures were too many, too steep and too confusing for pedestrians, who assumed they had right of way.
The petition was accepted without questions by Queenstown Mayor Vanessa van Uden.
