Arthurs Point’s Hurto Gym is now on an 18-fight winning streak following the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ fight night in Balclutha last Saturday.
Marcel Main won by unanimous decision against Timaru’s Damien Wederell in freestyle martial arts, while Luca Pizzolato scored two knockouts in the second round of his Muay Thai fight against Gore’s Hayden Coe, and also went on to win by unanimous decision.
Head coach Rob Horrocks is now hoping to extend his gym to a 22-win streak by the end of this coming weekend.
On Saturday night, Otis Clarbrough is heading to Cromwell for ‘The Bucket List Central 3 MMA’ show, being held at Cromwell College from 6pm, while three other fighters, Milo Skipper, Taylor McRae and Federico O’Connor are travelling to Auckland for ‘Mana FC XI — Whakapapa’.
