Tanker trouble

A tanker belonging to Septic Tank Services overturned on a steep street in Wanaka late yesterday afternoon.

Senior Constable Darren Cranfield said the tanker was parked in Stone St and being used to suck up slurry from a new concrete driveway.

While retrieving a road cone from the cab, the driver knocked the handbrake, and the truck ran a short distance up a bank and overturned. No-one was injured.
