New Zealand and Australia will be kept apart in the group stage of next year's World Cup in South Africa.
The trans-Tasman rivals have been placed in the same pot, meaning they cannot be drawn in the same group.
The eight pools will be determined by pulling one team out of the four pots, with both Koreas, Japan, Mexico, the United States and Honduras also in pot B.
The seeded teams in pot A are hosts South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, Italy, Germany and England.
Pot C has the other African and South American countries, while the remaining European sides, including teams like France and Portugal will be in the pot D.
