The NZ Highwaymen, comprising Kiwi music legends Brendan Dugan, Gray Bartlett, Dennis Marsh and Frankie Stevens, will perform at the Mayfair Theatre in South Dunedin on June 1 at 2.30pm.
Each member would bring a distinguished solo career to the group, a statement said.
Dugan and Bartlett, especially, rose to household name status in the 1980s thanks to their appearances on TVNZ’s That’s Country.
With a remarkable 30-album discography, including gold records and more than 300,000 record sales, Marsh also contributes his talent to the NZ Highwaymen show.
Stevens is also a well-known and loved entertainer, and many people will remember him as a judge on talent show New Zealand Idol.
The original 2023 NZ Highwaymen tour included the late Eddie Low.
From that tour came the recording Live from the James Hay, which went on to No 1 on the New Zealand album charts and was one of the top 10 New Zealand albums of last year.
When Low became unwell last year, the team asked the popular Stevens to step in.
The performance will captivate audiences with timeless music, humour and entertainment.
The show will be an unforgettable family outing, especially for those wishing to treat senior family members.
The Dunedin matinee show on June 1 will be the final South Island show in the NZ Highwaymen’s 2025 Tour, following performances in Gore and Invercargill.
