Queenstown police arrested three Queenstown men with high breath-alcohol readings over the weekend.
A 25-year-old man was found to be driving with well over twice the legal limit of 400mcg on Friday night.
Sergeant Linda Stevens said he recorded 1041mcg on Shotover St at 11.10pm.
A 24-year-old man recorded 621mcg on Camp St at 12.13am on Saturday and a 31-year-old blew 882mcg in Frankton at 3.30am.
Sgt Stevens said police arrested a 29-year-old Australian tourist and charged him with assault early yesterday.
It is alleged the man punched a security guard at Skycity Casino at 2.50am.
All four men will appear in the Queenstown District Court at the next sitting. '
