Hotel ruling to be appealed

The company that wants to build a $100 million hotel in Dunedin is taking their fight to the Environment Court.

Betterways Advisory Ltd director Steve Rodgers confirmed this afternoon he had received instructions from his client, Jing Song, to lodge an appeal.

The decision comes after the Dunedin City Council's hearings committee declined the company's application for resource consent for the hotel on June 5.
