A car-pooling log-book will be trialled this month in a bid to help people cut their fuel costs and cope with the long-term impacts of climate change and fluctuating oil prices.
People could register for the car pool at the Oamaru Public Library, seeking a ride on a regular or one-off basis.
Those planning a trip could also register if they wanted others to join them.
The driver and passenger could then work out the details.
