Chad Ormsby is back riding in New Zealand at Riccarton today after a successful stint in Queensland.

Ormsby won the Queensland Cup on Tinseltown and the Sunshine Coast Guineas on Shenzhou Steeds during three and a-half months in Queensland. Both horses are trained by Mike Moroney.

The Cambridge jockey is riding Copper Thief, Moneyforjam, Kirkdouglas, Zenagain and Goosebumps for Ashburton trainer Pam Gerard today.

Ormsby is the owner of Copper Thief, one of three runners for Gerard in the maiden hurdles.

The others are Lagerfeld and Super Glow. Lagerfeld is the mount of Ormsby's cousin, Patrick Ormsby.

Miss Millbrook, who had to miss a race at Oamaru on July 31 due to a stone bruise, is in race 3 today. The Terry Kennedy-trained mare won her last start at Oamaru on July 22.

Caley Marie, who is in race 7 today, won at the Grand National meeting 12 months ago and she won a maiden race at Riccarton. The Kevin Myers-trained mare has not raced since November.

Tedriffic, who is in the maiden steeplechase today, is now trained by Daniel Champion and Kezia Murphy at Ashburton. He won four races on the flat from the New Plymouth stable of John Wheeler.

• The Waimate Racing Club has been reallocated a meeting on September 22. The Banks Peninsula meeting has been switched from that date to October 30 and the South Canterbury meeting to September 26.

The Waimate meeting on July 3 was abandoned after two races.
