Planting to help penguins

A planting afternoon will be held at Brighton Domain this weekend to improve habitat for the region's penguins.

Organiser Chris Mullen, of eco-forestry business Wildwood, said he hoped families would come to help plant 1500 flaxes. Native trees would also be available to plant at a cost of $10.

The aim was to limit erosion along the domain as well as to help the penguins, he said.

He was hoping for good weather and many helping hands to make the afternoon a success.
