The dedication of Dunedin man Arthur Blondell, who has spent the past 12 years building a safe public walking track in the Silverpeaks Scenic Reserve, has been recognised with a national Outdoor Access Champion Award.

A busy public forum, community concerns, and funding requests for local projects kept West Harbour Community Board members on their toes at last week’s meeting.

A large and committed cast put their all into a spirited and entertaining performance of Chess the Musical for Thursday’s opening of the show at a packed Mosgiel Coronation Hall.
