The Otago Vauxhall Owners Club hosted the national rally of Vauxhall owners in Gore at the weekend.

On Sunday rally participants drove to the Croydon Aviation Heritage Centre at Mandeville where members of the public could view the cars.

The Ensign reporter Sandy Eggleston talked to a father and son who saw the Waimea Plains Railway Trust Rogers K92 steam engine operating and called in for a ride.

The pair also looked at the cars and shared what they thought of the lineup.

Toby Brown, 8 ... We’re learning about transport at [Gore Main] school at the moment. The Vauxhalls look very fancy.

Reece Brown (holding Caleb, 4) ... I am not a car person at all but I appreciate the work people put in if they’ve got a passion for cars, especially if they come from the North Island.
